In Zentiva we made a strong commitment to become carbon neutral by 2030 and we created and implemented a roadmap which will lead us to achieve this ambitious goal.

While our European sites are already sourcing 100% of its electricity from renewable energy, we have just reached another milestone in Ankleshwar, our Indian site, by entering into a “Power Purchase Agreement“ (PPA). This will contribute to us achieving our target of 60% renewable electricity usage for Indian site operation by the end of 2023.

On 1st February 2023 our Indian site started receiving the renewable electricity under the PPA from our external vendor, generated from solar panels and wind through our existing grid power supply network.

Now our Ankleshwar site has three sources of renewable electricity including its own roof top solar panels (installed at site), its own wind mill (installed at western part of Gujarat) and now also renewable electricity under the PPA contributing significantly to reducing Zentiva’s overall carbon emission.
